Add CNAME DNS records, so you can user your own website for your RSS feed.
Awesound will power your RSS feed "under the hood", but users will see your domain in the URL 😃
Note: You should only follow the below guide if you already have "https" on your domain.
This means that people can already visit your site with "https://___" instead of "http://___".
If in doubt, visit your own website with "https://" at the front of the URL now.
If you do NOT have an SSL certificate, then you can first get a FREE SSL certificate from CloudFlare here (choose "Full SSL").
Then once CloudFlare is managing your DNS, set up the DNS records in CloudFlare instead :)
If you already DO have "https" set up for your domain, you can continue with the below:
- For your domain, click "DNS"
- Scroll down and click "Add" to create a new DNS record.
In total, you want to create three separate DNS records.
- All three have type "CNAME".
- Each of the three has a different "host" and "points to" destination.
- The "TTL" is not so important. (Ideally, choose a small value.)
DNS record one:
Host "feed" points to destination "feed.awesound.com"
DNS record two:
Host "awesound" points to destination "awesound.com"
DNS record three:
Host "awesoundfeed" points to destination "feed.awesound.com"
When you're done, it should look something like this:
When you're done, drop a note to team@awesound.com to invite us to test your setup!
